Located on Avenida Boavista, one of Porto’s main avenues, the Dr António Cupertino de Miranda Foundation (FACM) is a contemporary and versatile space with access for people with reduced mobility. In front of it is the Parque da Cidade, adorned with exotic trees, shrubs, tranquil lakes, paths and fountains, the largest urban park in the city of Porto. 1.5 kilometres away is another of Porto’s tourist attractions, the Castelo do Queijo, which is surrounded by beaches and seafront restaurants.

How to get

🛬 Plane

Porto Airport (OPO);

  • If you take the Metro, go to Aeroporto metro station (purple line E) and get off at Casa da Música station from here you can:
    • walk 4 kilometres along Avenida da Boavista;
    • or take taxis or TVDE (Uber, Bolt);
    • or take one of the buses below and get off at “Parque da Cidade” station:

🚈 Metro

There are currently 6 Metro lines covering the greater Porto area (Gaia, Gondomar, Maia, Matosinhos, Porto, Trofa). The nearest Metro station is “Casa da Música”, served by lines A, B, C, E and F. From Casa da Música you can:

  • walk 4 kilometres along Avenida da Boavista;
  • or take taxis or TVDE (Uber, Bolt);
  • or take one of the buses below and get off at “Parque da Cidade” station:

🛴 Electric scooter or bicycle

The city of Porto has a network of public and private operators offering scooter or bicycle sharing solutions. Check the authorised parking area at the end of your journey.

By taxi or TVDE you can get to  Fundação Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda (FACM).

🛤️ Train

From Campanhã Train Station you can: 

  • take a taxi or TVDE (Uber, Bolt);
  • or take the metro to Casa da Música and then one of the buses below and get off at the “Parque da Cidade” stop:

If you are travelling to the Dr António Cupertino de Miranda Foundation in your own car, there is parking on Avenida da Boavista in front of or next to the City Park.
