He is currently helping shape the AI vision within WordPress core. His talk, “AI is in WordPress Core. Here’s How to Use It“ explores the building blocks already available in core, such as the Abilities API and MCP adapter. Jorge will discuss how to bring AI-powered features into your own plugins, themes, and sites, and why WordPress remains the right platform in an age of AI agents.

Marcel Schmitz
Marcel Schmitz is a WordPress developer and founder of Pluginslab, a Porto-based agency specializing in WooCommerce. A senior contributor on Codeable, he integrates AI agents into enterprise workflows. His talk, “A Nova Era do WordPress: De Developer a Arquiteto com Engenharia Agêntica“ (“The New Era of WordPress: From Developer to Architect with Agentic Engineering”), provides a guide for senior developers looking to adopt agentic workflows. Marcel will share open-source tools that transform Claude Code into a native development environment for WordPress.
