WordCamp Portugal 2026 is happening on 15 & 16 May, and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team! Applications are now open, so don’t miss out.

Roles and responsibilities
No prior experience? No problem! We’re looking for friendly, dedicated people to fill a variety of roles:
- General event support: Help with registration, info desks, and attendee guidance.
- Multimedia support: Assist with cameras, video, and sound during sessions.
- Speaker assistance: Support speakers with their session needs.
- Q&A support: Manage microphones and assist in the auditorium during Q&A sessions.
- Event photography: Capture special moments (requires your own equipment).
- Workshop assistance: Help participants and speakers during workshops.
- Contributor Day support: Leading a work table.

What we expect from volunteers
As a volunteer, you’re the friendly face of WordCamp Portugal 2026. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- A positive, welcoming attitude
- Willingness to help others and work as part of a team
- Respect for all attendees, following the Code of Conduct
- Commitment to wearing your staff T-shirt during shifts
Shifts can be arranged flexibly, as long as all are covered, so you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the event!
Selection criteria
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, whether you’re a seasoned WordCamp veteran or new to the community. Our ideal volunteers are:
- Engaged with the WordPress community or eager to get involved
- Reliable and committed to supporting the event
- Good communicators who can work well with others
