We are incredibly excited to report a record-breaking 130 participants this year!

A new approach: from “Contribution” to “Community & Collaboration”
For the second year in a row, we moved away from the classical model of contributing purely to the WordPress project. Instead, we focused on Collaboration Spaces. These tables were designed as open conversation hubs where members could bring their doubts, share expertise, and help each other solve real-world problems.

This year’s tables covered a variety of essential topics:

Security & Trust

AI & WordPress

SEO/GEO & Performance

Design & Accessibility

Translations & Community

Freelancers & Agencies: This was the first time we hosted this specific table, and it quickly became one of our most active spaces. We saw a fantastic exchange of experience between seasoned agency owners and those just beginning their journey into freelancing.

Welcoming new faces at the Community Forum
The Community Forum in the afternoon brought a wonderful surprise: a significant number of people were attending their very first WordCamp. Growing our community and reaching newcomers is something we always strive for, so it was a great opportunity to learn how they found out about WordCamp Portugal and why they decided to join us. This gives us a clear roadmap to grow even further in future editions.

Sharing Sessions and the impact of AI
The day moved into our Sharing Sessions, where three speakers took the stage to talk about the WordPress community and the transformative impact of AI on both our work and development. This was followed by a panel discussion that explored these shifts in detail. It was a perfect bridge between today’s collaborative spirit and the future of the web.

A growing community
Seeing 130 people engaged, talking, and helping one another proves that our new approach has made Community Day more accessible and popular than ever. We believe this focus on open dialogue and specific interest areas is a major reason for the significant spike in attendance.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Porto to share, learn, and grow together.
